February 13, 2014
This year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of FXB International and the pioneering FXBVillage programme – a three-year integrated programme to bring about long-term poverty eradication which was launched in 1991.
In the last 25 years, FXB International has developed more than 150 FXBVillages across eight countries – Burundi, China, Colombia, DRC, India, Rwanda, Thailand and Uganda – helping more than 75,000 people out of extreme poverty.
In addition to the FXBVillage programmes, 17 million adults and children across 14 countries have benefited from the presence of FXB in their communities through sustainable community development, infrastructure rehabilitation, education, prevention, awareness and access to water and sanitation programmes.
To mark this important milestone and to help raise awareness of the ongoing work the organisation is doing to break the cycle of extreme poverty, FXB International is going to be rolling out a global programme of celebratory events throughout 2014.
