FXB India Suraksha Partnered at India CSR Summit

Over the years Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a concept of engagement between business and the social sector has undergone a myriad of definitional changes. CSR today is a recognized practice that is no longer seen as impinging on the profit maximization motive of business. Acceptance of the business case for CSR, ie engagement with the social sector is profitable for companies, was evident from the vibrant presence and engagement of companies at the Índia CSR Summit and CSR Partnerships Exhibition ' organized by NGO Box at Mumbai on 27-28 September 2016.

One of the largest CSR event of the year, it  brought together over a 1000 participants representing a cross section of stakeholders including corporations, NGOs, Government, social enterprises and advisory organizations to learn from each others' experiences . FXB India Suraksha (FXBIS)  was represented by Kiran Kumar (Programme Manager) , Namrata Raha (Senior Communication Officer) and Subhasree Sarkar (Donor Partnership & Relations Coordinator). The CSR summit acted as a platform to showcase FXBIS projects and programs and engage with our peers from across the country.

FXBIS an NGO partner of the event was presented at a global forum that ensured a wider visibility of its work amongst a larger international audience. As a partner organization  the distribution of FXBIS publications  in the Summit Registration Kit helped reach out to around 1300 people representing a wide array of stakeholders. Presence of large conglomerates like Tata Strategic Management, ACC Ltd, Reliance Foundation, Corporate Affairs South Asia, Intel, Cairn India HSBC bank, HDFC Bank, Jubilant Food-works Ltd not only helped broaden our understanding of how CSR is playing a vital role in the development story of  India but also explore new ideas and partnerships. One of the key takeaways from the event was the exposure to the best practices of various organizations  in terms of innovative project models showcased in an Exhibition Corner. Participating at the India CSR Summit 2016 has  opened up new vistas for networking with donors, implementing organizations and other NGOs.
