TARGETED INTERVENTION PROGRAMME
Targeted Interventions are recognised as an effective strategy for arresting the spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Essentially, marginalised and vulnerable populations at high-risk to HIV, are informed, educated, counselled and supported, so that they are persuaded to bring about a behavioural change and adopt healthy life practices.
Typically, such high-risk groups include: commercial sex workers, men who have sex with men, injecting drug users, street children, truck drivers, migrant labour, etc.
FXB Suraskha undertakes targeted interventions with these high-risk groups in order to ensure safe behavioural practices that reduce the risk of HIV infection.
