Demonstration Business Units

A ‘Demonstration Business Unit’ (DBU) serves as a sample of how identical business ventures can be established in other geographies. It is a live example for interested but inexperienced entrepreneurs to learn from and establish their own ventures in their local setting.

FXB India Suraksha has been successful in establishing DBUs in its intervention states. Be it the broom-making units in Ri-Bhoi district in Meghalaya, modern cow-sheds, goateries and pisciculture ponds in Kamrup and Darrang distrocts of Assam, poultry and tailoring units in FXBVillage Nesal of Tamil Nadu, agarbatti making units in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, FXBIS initiated DBUs have been successful real-life examples of thriving grassroots level livelihood options for others to emulate. Each of the DBU’s is replicable with minimum investment and through adequate maneuvering and mobilization of like-minded community members with some initial organization support.
