FXBIS's main integrated rural development model, IRDP, was developed over 20 years of practice and education. By concurrently improving livelihoods, education, health, climate resilience, natural resource management, community infrastructure, and local institutions, it brings about long-lasting change as opposed to tackling discrete problems. Earlier phases were implemented as the Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP), the same integrated concept, termed differently by state and phase; HRDP and IRDP relate to the same programme strategy.
Rooted in community ownership and founded in partnership with government institutions, IRDP places women and children at the core of development while generating opportunity for youth, families, and the larger community to prosper with dignity.
"We believe that poverty cannot be addressed through a single intervention. Sustainable development requires strengthening the entire ecosystem that supports a family's wellbeing."
