The Domains for Change, an integrated, four-pillared model of development, became the defining framework of FXBIS as a result of this pivotal moment. The change from a single-issue, HIV-focused organization to a multi-sectoral, community-based development organization signified a profound metamorphosis of identity and mission.
The Domains of Change through which FXBIS is empowering vulnerable communities to lead lives of dignity are: Livelihood Promotion, Improved Health Status, Access to Quality Education, and Protection & Safety.
FXBIS stands apart for its approach of co-creating solutions with the communities it serves. This approach is based on the idea that long-lasting change must be developed cooperatively rather than externally. We assist women and girls in marginalized areas, PLHIV orphans, migrant workers, Dalit communities, tribal groups, and survivors of human trafficking.
Today, FXBIS delivers evidence-based programmes that combine direct service delivery, capacity building, and knowledge generation – empowering individuals, families, and communities to break cycles of hardship and build sustainable futures. Over a million families in 13 states and union territories have benefited from FXBIS, which has its Secretariat in New Delhi.
